Markthalle 9 Post-Aldi
Post-Aldi consists of a system of mapping and collective information gathering of all neighborhood initiatives, groceries, start up companies, shops and services to understand the transformation of the Kreuzberg neighborhood from past to present times. A collective "add-on" map is constructed in the center of Markthalle Neun to engage inhabitants of the former so36 to participate in this scavenger hunt of what's happening around the area.
This intervention acts as a collective investigation, while a selection of concepts are proposed by the raumlabor team to assist the further transformation of the old market, including the idea of preserving it’s status and meaning within the hearts of the neighborhood. Post-Aldi puts into light the taking over of large companies and startups which drive the city’s gentrification.
